Showers and Lounges at Chengdu Tianfu Airport
There is no advertised public shower counter in the Chengdu Tianfu halls that anyone can walk up to and pay for like a gym. If you need to wash between flights, the choice is an airline lounge that actually has showers, an eligible transit lounge, or a hotel room.
Lounges and showers
First and business lounges on L1 of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 have been listed with showers, roughly 07:00 to 22:30. Paid walk-up for economy passengers is sometimes reported; treat the price as something to ask at the door, not as a published tariff.
A Sichuan Airlines / China Southern lounge near Terminal 2 Gate 214 is listed with showers and quiet areas, typically for eligible tickets or pass holders. Air China lounges are listed in both terminals. Plaza Premium lists a China Eastern lounge in Terminal 2 with food, chairs and Wi-Fi; showers are not on that amenity list.
A free 24-hour transit lounge near Terminal 1 Gate 115 has been opened for eligible international-to-international (or domestic-to-international) connections within 48 hours, with rest beds and showers. Eligibility is the constraint: it is not a landside day spa.
Lounges are airside. Security hours and last-call rules still apply.
When a room beats a lounge
Arriving off a red-eye without lounge access, the fastest real shower is a room. Tianfu Joyhub Cheer Hotel and Tianfu Joyhub Air Hotel are a walk from both terminals. Take A Nap Hotel is inside Terminal 2 if you only need a cabin; check whether your cabin type includes a private toilet.
Under about three hours, a lounge that you already have access to wins on speed. Beyond that, a Joyhub room wins on rest.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are there public showers at Chengdu Tianfu Airport?
There is no widely published pay-per-use shower desk in the public halls. Showers appear in some airline first and business lounges (listed on L1 of T1 and T2, typically 07:00 to 22:30) and in a Terminal 1 transit lounge for eligible international connections. Confirm on the day, because operators change.
Can I shower at TFU without a lounge pass?
The reliable landside option is a hotel room: Tianfu Joyhub Cheer Hotel or Tianfu Joyhub Air Hotel between the terminals, or a capsule at Take A Nap Hotel inside Terminal 2 if that cabin type includes a toilet or you use terminal facilities. Do not count on walking up to a public shower.
Which lounges are at Tianfu Airport?
Airline lounges include Air China in both terminals and a Sichuan Airlines / China Southern lounge near Terminal 2 Gate 214, among others. Plaza Premium lists a China Eastern lounge in Terminal 2. Access is usually a business-class ticket, alliance status or a paid pass. Facilities differ; showers are not in every lounge.
